Naturally Born Strangers (NBS) emerged from the creative vision of Bryan Espiritu and his team at The Legends League. Initially conceived as a passion project, it quickly evolved into a serious musical endeavor that sought to challenge norms and celebrate individuality. Recognizing the unique mission of NBS, I was approached to design the album artwork after collaborating with the team on several successful projects.

The collective, comprised of three talented artists, became a voice for outliers—those who defy conventions and proudly embrace their unique identities. Their debut project resonated with audiences and critics alike, earning a Juno Award for Best Rap Recording and a Sirius XM Indies Award for Best Rap Group of the Year. These accolades not only underscored their artistic impact but also set the stage for their highly anticipated sophomore release, Thoughts & Prayers.

In designing the album artwork for NBS, I aimed to encapsulate the spirit of the collective—raw, authentic, and unapologetically bold. The artwork needed to reflect their journey as artists who thrive outside the mainstream, showcasing their unique perspectives and creative expressions. By blending vibrant visuals with thoughtful design elements, we crafted a visual identity that aligned with their message and resonated with their fanbase.

As Thoughts & Prayers launched, the album artwork became a key element of their branding, further solidifying NBS's presence in the music scene. The collective’s ability to connect with listeners through both their music and visual representation highlighted the power of embracing individuality in a world that often tries to conform. Through our collaboration, we celebrated not only their artistic achievements but also the strength found in unity among outliers, setting a compelling tone for their ongoing journey in music.
