This day was more than just Jackie Robinson Day—it marked the 75th anniversary of the legendary Dodgers icon, a trailblazer who forever changed the game of baseball. To honor his life, legacy, and the barriers he broke for African American players, the Toronto Blue Jays approached me to create a design that would pay tribute to his enduring impact.
From the start, it was clear that this design needed to be more than just a visual homage—it had to carry the weight of Jackie’s legacy and the values he stood for. After careful consideration, we centered the design around a powerful quote that continues to resonate today, embodying the way Jackie lived both on and off the field. The goal was to craft something that not only celebrated his contributions to baseball but also served as a reminder of his courage, perseverance, and the doors he opened for future generations.
Seeing the final design come to life, worn proudly by players and fans alike, was an incredible moment. It was a testament to the lasting influence of Jackie Robinson—a legacy that extends far beyond baseball, inspiring change, unity, and progress to this day.

The Toronto Blue Jays took fans on a nostalgic journey, capturing the essence of 90s pop culture with a limited-edition stadium giveaway: a vintage-inspired short-sleeve hoodie designed for the first 15,000 fans. This project was more than a design—it was a nod to the iconic era that shaped so many of us. Drawing on influences from classic Salem sportswear, Saved By The Bell’s lively visuals, and the vibrant patterns of the 90s, I collaborated with the Blue Jays’ internal team to create a piece that connected past and present in an authentic way. Every element of the hoodie was crafted to reflect the era’s bold energy and unforgettable aesthetic, while still honoring the Blue Jays’ unique identity and fan loyalty. At the heart of the design are Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., featured subtly in the background as the new cornerstones of the franchise, symbolizing the team’s bright future within a nostalgic, retro aesthetic.
With Bo and Vladdy as the focus, the hoodie seamlessly blends the energy of the team’s current stars with the bold aesthetic of the past, celebrating the Blue Jays’ evolution from legacy to new heights. Fans arrived early to snag this exclusive piece of merch that connected the team’s heritage with its future, marking a memorable day where fandom, fashion, and the team’s story came together in a vibrant celebration.
The final design was an embodiment of both Blue Jays pride and 90s flair, merging dynamic colors and graphics that popped on game day. Fans lined up hours before the game to snag this exclusive, wearable piece of history—a celebration of fandom and fashion wrapped in the spirit of the team. The project didn’t just bring back fond memories for the fans; it also solidified a new tradition of blending cultural nostalgia with the excitement of live sports, creating a fan experience as memorable as it was collectible.

Following an incredible breakout year in 2021, Alek Manoah quickly became a fan favorite in Toronto, capturing the hearts of Blue Jays supporters with his dominant performances and infectious energy. To celebrate his impact both on and off the field, the Blue Jays honored Alek with his very own special T-shirt night at the Rogers Centre.
I had the privilege of collaborating with Alek and the Toronto Blue Jays to design a limited-edition T-shirt that truly reflected who he is—not just as a pitcher, but as a person. Sitting down with Alek, we talked about his passions, his journey, and the meaningful elements he wanted to see represented in the design. Alek had full creative control over the final design, while I was there to help guide him through the process and bring his vision to life. Through multiple iterations and creative discussions with Alek and the Blue Jays team, we refined the concept until we landed on a final design that he was genuinely excited about.
The end result was more than just a piece of merchandise; it was a personal statement—something that resonated with both Alek and the fans who have supported him from day one. Seeing thousands of fans at the Rogers Centre proudly wearing the design on his special night was a testament to the connection between players and their city, and the power of design in capturing those moments.
